There isn't much difference between a Mental Institute and a Think Tank
Well I stepped outside of the Institute, went down to the Gazebo right as the rain began with the intention of getting “stuck” there. I laid a while on the wide railing, alternately sitting (meditating) on the rail. Some time was passed examining drops falling from the roof. The wind would gust and spray those droplets all over me, fogging my spectacles. Lighting danced sharp and thunder rumbled heavy overhead.
At a point I got up and walked slowly back to the dining hall where folks were congregating for supper. I joined in with the munchers. Then a gang of us cooked up a celebratory scheme since the one and only Parth is heading on back to Flo-ridy so soon. – Also, Adi and I wanted to play some pool. So we went to McGuire’s on Main in the Chilliest of Springs and took over the place. They confined us – rather we confined ourselves – to the back area where the pool table was located and gallivanted for hours.
Had a good bit’a whiskey and played a might’en bunch of pool. Many a game were had between folks from the (mental) Institute and the CARING crowd. At a certain point some lady-fella done put her quarter on the pool table – which signifies her intent to whip some ass in the next game. Prior to her jumping on the table the games were split like this – myself and Lilia on one team and Parth and Anisha. Lilia and I won, but she wasn’t intent on facing the new lady-fella so Adi and I – former competitors – joined forces… for the next few hours.
I do believe we lost one game, but with that as the exception we ran that darn table. That lady-fella turned out to have a name and it was Kim. She’s a teacher of Tunes. Her compadre was an elder, but a mobile one. She was the pool shark though. Round about an hour – perhaps less – later another two fellas decided they wanted some of the action and didn’t see no other way to express it but put their quarter down. They didn’t slap it or an’thing but they sure did let their intentions be known.
Well gosh darn’it Adi and I must have really liked playin’ on that there table cause we didn’t move off. Now the other folks in our party came and went, some new’ens came and then went. Adi, Anna, myself and another jolly little lady from CARE stayed a good deal later – our gallivanting streak did not run short, that’s for sure. We were honkin’ and a tonkin’ about any ol’ thing. Ramblin’ never felt so good and whiskey is a might find friend but he do sure keep ya from catchin’ a deep sleep.
